Learn new skills at home! Connect with an instructor in a hands on class designed to teach new skills. Minimum class size is 3, Maximum is 20. Class cancellations will be issued as class credit one week prior. All times are listed as Eastern Standard Time.

Cartoon Critters – C
Draw with a virtual class and your instructor some of your favorite cartoon animals. Learn to draw animals by following along with the instructor to draw your favorite animal characters with expressions. Discuss some strategies for drawing comics including panels, word bubbles and spacial tricks. The only materials required for this class are paper, pencil, black extra fine point sharpie as well as othering coloring materials of student’s choice.

Watercolor Technique and Textures – A
This is a three week Zoom series that focuses on how to use tube watercolors. Learn to glaze, pickup, blend, texturize and mask with watercolor and experiment layering different intensities of color. Each week will focus on a new technique and students will complete a painting study each week: abstract design, fruit and flowers. Have fun learning in a small community. Supply list includes: Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolor Paint Set of 6, 8ml Tubes, watercolor or synthetic brushes including flat 1/2 inch and size 6 or 8 round, pencil, paper towels, small colorless sponge, Canson 9 x 12″ watercolor pad, plastic paint palette, blue painters tape, art masking fluid (optional).

Drawing for Teens and Adults – A
Learn basic pencil and colored pencil techniques including layering value, breaking down shapes or forms and simplifying landscapes. In this three week series each week will focus on a new technique to practice and then complete a small work of art including abstract layering practice, favorite shoe and landscape. Supplies for this class include: Canson Mixed Media paper pad, Prismacolor set of 24 colored pencil or similar, pencil and eraser, blue tape and other media of student’s choice.

Harry Potter Characters – C
Draw with a virtual class, and your instructor, some of your favorite characters from Harry Potter. The only materials required for this class are paper, pencil, black sharpie as well as othering coloring materials of student’s choice.
