Summer Camps for 5 – 8 Year Olds
5-8 year old camps include one air dry or polymer clay project, *unless it is a specified clay camp, a canvas painting and lots of other themed projects for the week. We will do some projects at adjacent Carmel Civic Square. All camps meet Monday – Friday.
A healthy snack is included for both AM and PM camps; however children can also bring their own.
There is a minimum of six campers and maximum of twelve campers. Last summer sold out so sign up early!

Drawing and Painting for Young Children (5-8 years)
Does your child love to draw? This camp will focus on drawing people, figures and places. This camp will develop skills and confidence by creating and sharing in a creative space with a range of drawing and painting materials. In addition to studio projects we’ll draw outside and play a variety of drawing games.

Enchanted Kingdom (5-8 years)
Explore worlds of storybook magic and mystery. From princesses, knights, and castles to fairies this camp will captivate young imaginations. New projects this year include magical crowns and wands, magical creatures made out of clay, painted castles, enchanted spell books and fairy drawing. This multimedia camp will also read fairy tales to help illustrate magical characters.

Animal Planet (5-8 years)
Learn and share knowledge about animals, what are your favorites? Where do they live and what do they eat? Create animals in their habitats in clay, paint, and collage. This year new projects include wild dioramas, paper mache and cardboard llamas or horses, and educational endangered animal projects, including sea turtles.

Journey Around the World (5-8 years)
People create all over the world in different ways and in different colors. Explore the bright vibrant colors of Africa and create fabric stamped T-shirts and a grassland collage. Visit a real koi pond and paint koi fish in a pond. Create paper mache nesting dolls and New Zealand Maori tribal necklaces and many more projects inspired from artwork around the world.

Into the Great Beyond (5-8 years)
Come travel with us into far away places including outer space, deep oceans and arctic poles. Most of us have never been to these places but let’s see what we can learn and create. This year, draw and paint new creatures, explore new galaxies and sail through new waters.

Imaginative Designer Pottery Fusion Camp (5-8 years)
Join Jeremy South from Ripple Mobile Arts to create awesome works of art in clay and glass! A Van Gogh inspired carving, wall pocket designs, vases and dragon are just a few of the items we’ll create during the week. Explore the process of creating with both clay and glass. All items are made from scratch. Every child will have a chance to use the pottery wheel twice. Some items will be fired to be picked up about 3-4 weeks after camp.
